Missionary

The Penningtons served as missionaries in Masvingo, Zimbabwe from 1976 through 2018. They retired on 31 December 2018 after 42 years of mission work.

Over the years they worked with various mission programs: printing, book shop, Bible college, leadership training, church planting and development, church construction, drought relief operations and a 30 year ministry with Masvingo Christian Church.

Even in retirement, the Penningtons continue to encourage and facilitate the work of the ministers and evangelists they worked with while in Zimbabwe. They also assist widows and single mothers financially with funds sent through As He Is.

Ben Pennington is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Ozark Christian College, the University of South Africa, and Eastern Illinois University. He served as minister at Campbellsburg, Indiana; Faulkner, Kansas and ministered to the Masvingo Christian Church from 1976 to 2006.
Karen Pennington is from Campbellsburg, Indiana. Karen attended Ozark Christian College and holds a Certificate of Biblical Studies (Counseling) from Moody Bible Institute. She had various responsibilities on the mission field including a ministry to widows and single mothers, leading small group studies and a counseling ministry at Masvingo Christian Church.
